About

Born and raised in Shelby, NC, Mason first picked up the guitar when he was 11 after receiving it as a Christmas gift. From there, Mason took to YouTube to learn his favorite riffs on the electric guitar. When Mason was age 12, he enrolled in a guitar class in junior high as an “excuse to play guitar during school hours." Being that he was ahead of the game in his class, Mason decided to pursue the art of songwriting. “I rode around listening to a lot of Willie Nelson, George Jones, and Keith Whitley when I was a youngin with my dad anywhere he went. At a young age, I fell in love with country music and considered them my heroes. Later in life, I discovered Americana/Red-Dirt country and found myself influenced by modern-day artists such as Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson.”

When Mason was 15, he began working on his first project, "Lonesome Again". He and his father built a “poor man’s studio” made out of carpet padding and insulation in the building out behind his house, where he recorded, mixed, and mastered all 15 of his original songs off the album. From there, he has played numerous shows and released more music. A live session with "92.9 WAME" out of Statesville, NC, made his second album. His newest self-titled album is available now!

Mason has performed at numerous venues across the country. In December of 2023, Mason performed a ten show residency at The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, a highlight of his career so far. Mason has shared bills and opened shows for many regional artists and buzzing country artists like Lainey Wilson, Craig Morgan, and Corey Smith.

Be on the lookout for Mason’s show schedule as he’ll more than likely be at a town near you!
